Rémi Marcoux

An entrepreneur of sustainability

Video available only in French.

Rémi Marcoux grew up in Beauce, where his father ran a general store and passed on his desire of becoming an entrepreneur. Rémi studied in Montréal and developed an interest in printing during an internship at Québecor. Dreaming of starting a company that would endure, he co-founded Transcontinental in 1976 after purchasing a small printing press. Rémi has made his mark at home and internationally through acquisitions that resulted in diversifying Transcontinental’s activities. In 2012, his children officially took over the company following a well-planned transfer process. Rémi continues to promote entrepreneurship through Parcours entrepreneurial Rémi-Marcoux at HEC Montréal, which trains the next generation.
